OK, got a possibly opinion-based question... Looking at a car with a sport-handling package. It has those wide tires that have a skinny sidewall (well not too high of a sidewall). I assume the lower profile gives better cornering, but will it cause a bumpier ride? Such as speed bumps, etc.? The tires are 225/40R18 for a 2019 Toyota Corolla.

@MarkStewart That's pretty much it, yeah - less flex in the sidewall means a 'tighter' steering and handling, but bumpier ride and more likelihood of damaging the wheel when you hit a pothole.
The dealer couldn't understand it when my former next-door-neighbour insisted on having the 'normal' wheels on his new Jaguar, instead of the 'sport' ones - his argument was that he lived in rural England, and the low-profile tyres wouldn't cope with all the potholes!

@MarkStewart this is a great place to talk about this sort of thing. It’s exactly the type of topic that car nerds will jabber about all day long!
@NickC I’ve already had potholes that made me glad that I have the smaller winter wheels on right now!
I also curb rashed one of the wheels at one of our badge checking stations at work so I’m also glad that I don’t have the nicer summer wheels on. Again!
