@BobCross - Well, you almost had it right ... it's the i7-4770, not the i74470K.

@BobCross - I think Jay kinda disagrees with you ...

How so? I watched the video but I don’t see anything that says better CPU first (especially since it often requires a new motherboard and memory). GPU first is still best for immediate gratification with other components good choices for later updates
Obviously, if you have the benchmarks that say do the other thing then do that. That requires people to measure their systems though and a lot aren’t willing to do that
I’m also one of those people with a 4K panel and an older CPU. Moving pixels is hard when you have that many so the GPU is pretty challenged

Logical increments is quite good at putting pieces together that make sense

@BobCross - Hmmm ... my understanding was you can't SLI on the RTX boards?

2:57 PM
Looks like you can with NVLINK
That sounds expensive though

On my end, I’m seriously considering getting a little Dell laptop and a beefy EGPU as the next purchase
Of course, I’m also considering a new car. Those two purchases don’t really go together

Man, I still find it weird to drive an automatic, guess I'm more used to my old hard-to-engage gears car lol

@IanC - I can drive either quite easily, though I find after I've driven a stick for a while, I reach for the gear knob ... talk about muscle memory, lol.

@Pᴀᴜʟsᴛᴇʀ2 Today I tried to brake pressing the clutch and in the confusion hit the brake a bit harder haha
not only that but I always go from stationary to moving very slowly, because I'm used to controling the acceleration with the clutch when going from 1st
so I get worried I'll accel too fast
but besides that, my parents car is so smoother to drive, also very silent, I think the driving mechanism is eletronic (which is smoother than hydraulic?)
how have your easter holiday been by the way @Pᴀᴜʟsᴛᴇʀ2?

10:10 PM
@IanC - Non-eventful thus far. My son has come up from North Carolina (~4 hours away)
