Can one use the term "Protein assay" in the noun sense, i.e. "Content of protein in the drug product"? Or is it only to be used in the gerund sense, i.e. "The process of measuring the protein content of the drug product"?

Well, assay is both a noun and a verb, so I would think it's both

@Zhe To be fair, making both rings is tough - I'm not sure I know how to do it.
I might give it a shot over the weekend, though. This week in particular has been horrible, I need to give a presentation tomorrow...
