@Mithoron Well... I like explaining stuff. I feel like you kind of have to to spend years answering questions here.

Q: what do the asterisks in the molecule stand for?

JohnMy 7 year old nephew found a chemistry text book and started copying some pictures and diagrams. He drew this and asked me what do the asterisks mean ? He said he normally sees letters which means atoms. But he can't found an atom that called "asterisks" from the periodic table.

https://chat.stackexchange.com/users/150884/orthocresol pls answer my ques

Why does He(helium) has less positive electron gain enthalpy than Neon(Ne). The size of atoms increase down the zero group and also the effective nuclear charge increase down the group. Therefore the electron is attracted more towards the nucleus and hence the electron gain enthalpy should become less positive down the zero group. BUT in fact helium has the least positive electron gain enthalpy in the zero group!!

What is the correct explanation for the observed trend?

Hello! I want to ask since I am not sure. Gay-Lussac's law is obtained through Charles' law and Boyle's law, right?
