Well, a while back, I joined the Diversity team at work, despite my misgivings, and sad as I am to say this, It's been a wonderful experience and has whittled away a bit of my cynicism. 10/10 would reccomend.

This is why you need an open mind going into things. I didn't expect much. In fact, I expected it all to be BS, but I gave it a chance, and went in to see for myself. Folks, I've changed my mind.

I think those sorts of things (as with many others) depend largely on the people who are involved. Get one where everyone (or at lest most) are Good People(TM) then you'll have a positive experience

@motosubatsu LOL, yeah. You would probably have enjoyed the look on my face when I came to that realization :)

@motosubatsu yeah, it must have been loud if we could hear it from here, Tonga is a bit over 500 miles away. I got relatives there, apparently even the air is pretty toxic at the moment. Satellite photo of the explosion shows the whole country under the eruption cloud. Only one reported fatality so far, but a lot of tsunami damage.
