@Old_Lamplighter It bothers me whenever people equate humans and pets. My teeth ache whenever I hear the term "fur babies". Ugh.

@Old_Lamplighter @JoeStrazzere seems like I'm not the only one. I never had pets, so when I found out that people refer to themselves as "Dog mom" or whatever, I found it an extremely odd phenomenon. Didn't a comedian (Jim Jefferies? Louis CK?) have a bit about this? How some couples start off with pets ad "starter kids" just to see if they can handle human kids?

@zmike my ex wife thought that being a Nanny would prepare her for motherhood. Totally different game. Even more so with "Pet parents".
