Feeling a bit sorry for you Americans... I had my first try of ketchup... all these years seeing it in movies I thought it was tomato sauce, but turns out to be some sour horrible stuff.

@Kilisi Ketchup comes in two forms, that which you described, and the kind that has so much sugar in it, it could pull someone right out of a diabetic coma.

Neither is inviting to me.
