Hi everyone, I've never asked a question on Workplace.SE before, and I'm not sure if this is a good question for the site. I run a workplace and have issued company email addresses to employees, and of course we don't want our company email addresses (@our_company.com) to show up associated with the user account of some employee that's posting things on forums all over the place that don't have anything to do with our company.
I wonder if there's a software or web crawler of some sort that could find where email addresses from our company's domain are being used, to catch things quickly if there's any misuse of the email addresses? I wonder how other employers that run large enough companies to have this problem, deal with this issue?

@NikeDattani usually it's understood that work emails are for work only. But it doesn't hurt to tell them as well.
Also depending on what mail software you use, many workplaces control and can access employee mail.

@Kilisi These points area all true, but I wonder if it would be an okay question on the main site? While it's "understood" that work emails are for work only, and it doesn't hurt to tell them as well, when giving out email addresses to 100s of people it wouldn't hurt if we could web crawl once in a while to see where the email address is being used (if for the username on some random forum, for example).

@NikeDattani ask it and see what happens, someone may have done that before.... seems a very hit and miss way to take care of an issue to me.

It's true that we can "access employee mail", but after a Supreme Court decision in 2012 (I'm in Canada), we're not supposed to do it unless there's enough evidence to suspect that a crime has occurred (fore example).
