If a job application is asking for what date you are available to start, what should you put?

I want to put January, but I'm not sure if that will be looked at negatively.

You could say that you have a project that will last for the rest of the year and that you’d like to see that through. Or you could just take it in the next couple of weeks - this late in the year, not much is going to be happening anyway.

I've just been informed that there is such a thing as doing too good a job. Apparently my MD likes the impossible feat I pulled off this morning so much he wants it done for every client, not just the small percentage they asked me to focus on.

I guess MEGA cold is relative @motosubatsu anything under 50 is cold to me.

@TymoteuszPaul I'm seeing a lot of jobs that are asking for experience with ElasticSearch. I wanted to know what I can use it for? I have a C# app that uses a PostgreSQL database, so if I know what exactly elastic search can be used for maybe I can integrate it into my app, so that I can put it as a skill on my resume.

@BlackPanther Can't hurt for sure, especially if it's in high demand. Though I personally would be wary of a scattershot approach to what you know, and instead focus on some specific domain of problems to solve. But really both ways are valid, and depends how you can present yourself hah. I guess especially for more junior people the width may be more important than depth.
