@JoeStrazzere I would agree, but some people are returning to work, some are working from home, so the problems with the career, problems still should be happening.

@JoeStrazzere I think the slowdown started some time before the COVID situation caused a mess in the World.

@JoeStrazzere it may have accelerated the decline, but the conflict prior made many people quite angry. This and Meta are the last ones I have, and I'm shutting down my Meta this week

@Gintas It seem to me that it was a sharp decline as the pandemic sent people home. But that's just a perception. Maybe someone could show some data.

@Gintas My sense is that a significant portion of members here post questions/answers/comments from work. They do so while they are working, because it's a non-work action that wouldn't be noticed by others. When you are working from home you don't need to worry about the "wouldn't be noticed" part, so if you need a breather or distraction from work, you can do lots of things without turning to The Workplace. Just an idea, no data behind it...

@Gintas Some people believe that, but we have way to confirm if it was that or something else.CoVid has also happened and other things. You have to be careful with the whole correlation does not always equal causation.

@Gintas But for those working from home, a lot of the interpersonal workplace issues are either not happening or are more easily ignored. Or, if not ignored, are not as important as all the other problems they have right now.

@JoeStrazzere you're in the USA so perhaps not a great deal as even if it all fell to pieces the USA could be self sufficient. Other places will never be the same. Anywhere reliant on tourism or other external revenue streams will never be the same as the first World by necessity becomes more insular in outlook and foreign policy. We've been on lockdown for 6 months, most of the private sector is no longer active, unemployment is through the roof. People are doing silly things in desperation.
