@motosubatsu Gotta love 2020, we lost internet and power, thanks to the hurricane. Working from home because I have power and 'net, work doesn't

@Old_Lamplighter the writers behind 2020 are clearly doing a little too much crack, I'm wondering when they are going to bring a meteor subplot in

@motosubatsu Steven King, Martin Scorsese, and Quentin Tarantino must be collaborating no doubt they're also channeling Kubrick

1:53 PM
@Old_Lamplighter lol... hope all are OK at your end

@motosubatsu I had a rough period there, nearly losing my mind, a mild encounter with sharp objects, and tons of professional help, but I'm much better now. Better than I have been in years, all things considered.

@Old_Lamplighter glad to hear it's on the up :)

@motosubatsu, thank you. I hope all is well on your end.

@Old_Lamplighter I know we're supposed to assume good intentions, but that OP was making it really hard by the end there.

@Kaz I was actually working up an answer as the question seemed interesting at first glance but the saw the torrent of brain-dead comments from the OP and thought "why bother?"

Kaz
@motosubatsu I had one I was writing, because the question is an interesting and useful one, but then it got closed and I don't think I care enough to advocate for reopening.

@Kaz same.. when I saw the (now deleted) comment about "I have motives you couldn't begin to understand" I think my eyes rolled so hard they nearly left their sockets

Kaz
They upvoted my answer and left a comment, and it almost made me wish I hadn't helped in the first place.
I was going to write something along the lines of: "You're looking for people that the market has, for some reason, undervalued. Primarily, this will be because they have some messy characteristic that companies systematically refuse to deal with. Historically, this would have been "not having a degree" but that is increasingly something that companies aren't undervaluing anymore.
The classic 2, that you might have more success with, are ex-cons and immigrants.
If you're looking for the 'diamond in the rough' then that's where I would recommend starting.

@Kaz yeah the OP has "form" elsewhere on the network for being belligerent with people who answer their questions

Kaz
Huh, turns out they accepted it too. Great.

@Kaz I need to learn not to argue with people.

@Old_Lamplighter no you don't

@motosubatsu LOL!
@Kaz That post reminded me of someone complaining that nobody will date them. "Hi, I'm 40 years old, living in my parents' basement, unemployed, morbidly obese, and wondering why I cant get a Hollywood celebrity to date me"
