The solution is to split one of my satellite feed cables and stick one end into the back of the TV that has it's own tuner. I can then use that to get the FTA channels. Hopefully that will include C4 HD.

No C4 decided not to pay the going rate to offer HD content over the Freesat platform.

Apparently, not enough people use Freesat to make it commercially viable. Add in some other nonense about regional advertising, and that's basically it.

Update: our tape backups failed again. The sysadmin sent some advice on how to fix them, but they failed again on the same day as they did last week

So resetting the tape drive didn't fix them

Fortunately, along with the advice he sent on how to fix them, he also said "if that doesn't work, turn tape backups off, we'll just have to rely on disk backups the next 2 weeks

@Nzall that's a result - sounds like you made reasonable efforts to sort the issue and they are happy to rely on the disk backups until the sysadmin can look further :)

@motosubatsu Honestly, even if something were to go wrong that would require restoring a backup, only our sysadmin knows how to do that, so we'd have to wait anyway
