hello Water Cooler! wondering if you're ok with people advertising questions in chat? Someone is having trouble getting attention on their question posted on a low-traffic site and I wanted to check if it's ok to point them here

Yeah, we tend to be able to answer ad-hoc questions in chat, even if they're not strictly suitable for the main site. Being in chat allows for a lot of clarification requests.
