For example, Motosubatsu suggested that this is a good time to keep your head down and not antagonise or attract attention from your manager. You responded that you are doing that, and gave as an example that you requested to work remotely for a month in a different time zone.
Which to me sounds very much like going out of your way to attract negative attention from your manager, and is not at all what was suggested.
