8:03 AM
@motosubatsu morning , thanks
well we got a scan today as she is having strange pain, it might be a incomplete miscaariage
now I wanna tell manager about half day off
it just came up so what do i do
so no mentioning of pregnancy is for sure?

8:19 AM
I think "I'm going to be off this morning/afternoon as my wife has an urgent hospital appointment" would probably cover that, you can mention it being pregnancy-related if you want to but I wouldn't expect it to be necessary, medical stuff is generally considered an area where privacy is ok

8:42 AM
ur right, thanks and my old feeling kicked in
everytime I m expecting a baby, I losses a job

8:55 AM
I fingured my confidence level hasn't increased
e.g. I did work, my senior peer do his work, things break but I keep fiixng it, I cannot go up to him telling his work break my work
happened 4 times,I been working overtime to fix issues but I m not confident in my work to point out he did this to break
I haven't grown a bit :(

2 hours later…
10:53 AM
@motosubatsu we lost the baby
😭

11:26 AM
@localhost awww crap :( Really sorry to hear that

11:39 AM
Yea thanks. Now i don’t know how to proceed with bereavement leave or how it works

12:10 PM
@localhost probably the best course is to take the situation to your manager and see how they want to proceed, assuming the pregnancy was less than 24 weeks there's no statutory entitlement to leave, but regardless of that most employers aren't going to be completely heartless over the situation and I'd be surprised if they didn't work something out for you

2 hours later…
2:20 PM
yea I just came back
so will check what is bereavement policy
