Reporting error cannot account for that big of a difference.
I saw that journal article, and many others like that. And they pretty much say the same thing, that COVID19–like illness (CLI) deaths are not reported in the official data. This is true, no doubt there, but this isn't a primary reason for the low death numbers in Bangladesh. In that, I agree with you, there may be other explanations.
The article says the following (emphasis are mine):
> Between March 2 and August 22, 2020, a total of 3,907 COVID-19 deaths were officially recorded by the IEDCR. During the same period, a total of 2,156 people died with symptoms consistent with CLI, according to the Centre for Genocide Studies (CGS) in Bangladesh. This means that 2,156 officially unreported deaths **may have been** caused by COVID-19, which could have been reported as CLI deaths
along with existing COVID-19 death surveillance and monitoring efforts.
Even if we assume the CLI death numbers to be equal to the official COVID-19 death numbers, and then add them for the new total, it still wouldn't be anywhere close to the Covid19 mortality rate in Canada.
In Bangladesh, the official number of deaths from Covid19 is approx. 27,000. The article that you linked says, "The number of CLI deaths (2,156) that were unreported is high; more than half (55% of 3,907 confirmed deaths) of the total deceased ... " So, let's say the total unreported CLI death statistics is 14,850 (27,000 x 55%), which makes the new total to be 41,850.
That's 41,850 deaths in a population of 165 million people in Bangladesh, compared to Canada's 28,000 deaths (or even more, unreported cases) in a population of 38 million.
That's 164 deaths per million in Bangladesh, compared to 737 deaths per million in Canada.
Even if we triple the number of deaths in Bangladesh to 81,000, that rate would be 491 deaths per million, still a lot lower than Canada.
Clearly, reporting (or lack thereof) does not explain much of the large variance between the two countries.

Could be that we have a younger population? That seems plausible.

In my resume's work experience section, I have bullet points under each job title, which describe the main activities I performed ... So lets say I have 5 job titles (different organizations/firms) - A, B, C, D, and E. Now D is "Graduate Teaching Assistant", a TA position I held during my master's. I have some bullets under this. "E" is a job from a long time ago, 2015 to mid 2016. It is however relevant because it relates to my field or work/education.
I am wondering if it'd be inconsistent/weird to delete the bullet points I have under D and E.
The reason is make space for something else that I think is important ...

@AIQ The grim truth is that the young and healthy don't get that sick. The very young and weak don't tend to live to maturity, and the life expectancy for the typical citizen in your country isn't that great. The average age of a patient dying from covid is about 80 globally, with a far thinner distribution among the young and healthy.

@Revenant_Evil That's what I thought ... that's one of the more plausible explanations ...
@Revenant_Evil Oh hey have been meaning to ask if you'd be willing to take a look at my resume? Maybe on a separate chat room?

@AiQ sure.

@motosubatsu Hey! There was a room that Lilienthal created for me so I could post my resume. Can you unfreeze that so I can get some feedback on my resume from Revenant_Evil ...

1:20 PM
sure.. give me a few mins to dig it out

1:31 PM
@AIQ I couldn't find the old one so it was easier just to create a new room. You should have a ping for it
given the nature I've made the room private and granted yourself and @Revenant_Evil access

I'd love to hear your thoughts on it ...
@motosubatsu You're probably busy with mod work, but if you'd find some time, I'd be happy to hear your thoughts too ...
