There are three open positions in a company that fits my skills. I've already applied to one and had an interview for it. I'm thinking of applying to the other two positions. Would applying to the other two positions adversely affect my ongoing application for the first position?

@BlackPanther it's possible, could do with more info - are the positions all in the same dept/team?

@motosubatsu They are all in software engineering. The first one is definitely in a different team. I'm not sure if the second and third ones are in different teams?

@BlackPanther are you dealing with a central hiring contact (e.g. HR)?

@motosubatsu I'm not sure, I'm just applying through their website. Although after I applied to the first job my interview invitation was sent by an HR employee at the company.

@BlackPanther applying for multiple positions in the same company can potentially hurt or help you. On the one hand it can show you are very keen to work for the company (good) but on the other it can show that you aren't as committed to wanting the role you originally applied for
if the roles are in the same dept/team then you generally don't need to apply separately - if they are going to potentially consider you for the other role(s) it happens naturally as part of the recruitment process
if they are separate dept/teams then there might not be the communication and they might not automatically consider you
in your scenario I'd be tempted to see if the original inerview pans out
if it does - great you don't need to even think about the others, if it doesn't then you can contact your HR contact and inquire as to whether it would be an issue for you to apply for the others. Or even just apply - heck if they've turned you down for one you have nothing to lose by applying for the others.
