Morning everyone.
I finally made the front page for most-voted questions ^^

good afternoon @Kaz

@gparyani Hello, I had various reasons for this, but I would ask why wasn't this question actually closed as a duplicate of this one: workplace.stackexchange.com/questions/77055/…

@JoeStrazzere No, there isn't a daily commitment or any formal commitment per se. Having said that, I try to pop in at least twice a day to handle exceptions. FWIW

I close fewer questions these days then I leave open. It seems like there are some people who slap a close vote on every new question to push it to review. Not sure how to feel about that

@Magisch I'm voting to close this comment as a duplicate of this

@Magisch personally, I think that that ability should be removed for anyone who hasn't asked or answered a question in more than a year.

eh, not sure. But Joe's meta posts are usually persuasive wrt. reopening rationales and have as a whole caused me to reconsider my closing habits lately

1:38 PM
@Magisch I stopped voting to close entirely. If people need help, I will help them
Joe is corrupting us all.... in a good way :D

ZooooooooooooooM
How's it going

2:08 PM
@Twyxz slowly.. can't wait for the weekend

@motosubatsu I'm trying to figure out how to be noticed in the social media world haaha

Social media is the bane of civilization
it gave rise to cancel culture, and mass manipulation of crowds
A non-governmental "two minutes hate"

I don't think we can really say it has that much power... Considering Labour dominated social media votes and post volume yet Tories won so strongly
social media is the power of the future, whether you like it or not. That's how it is and that's how it will be for a very long time. People like comparing themselves and seeing what others have
and thats the leverage for businesses and brands to take over

2:44 PM
@Twyxz oh, it has that much power, it's just not wielded that well by that many.

But that's why it's powerful
Because people don't understand

@Twyxz it's a sewer. I stay away from it.

But it's the new generation of business and for me. That's what matters and it's what has allowed me to grow my sources of income just by having a single brand on a phone screen

3:11 PM
@Twyxz I don't think it's sufficiently matured yet. When it does it will be an effective tool, right now, it's principally populated by ineffective tools.

Q: Is two days enough time for a question to be open with active reponses going on throughout that time frame?

DanAllenI just saw an explanation about a question being closed because it had been open for two days already and had more than one answer. The discussion of closing the question did not say anything about the quality of the question or the answers received so far. That discussion is at this link I...
