@CodeChef Hi! In light of you recent flag, I want to tell you a bit more about how we deal with questions about contest problems on this site. Here, on CS.SE, if we are informed about it, we require those questions to explicitly mention the related contest and prevent answers until they do so. This means that if people want to answer the question, they are aware that they are helping someone in a contest.
We generally do not delete these questions or their answers, however. (In this case, the answer was deleted because the author wanted that after being informed about the contest)
Different sites in the Stack Exchange network have different policies for those questions. On Stackoverflow, the policy seems to be that there is no special treatment for such questions (see here). I left a comment on the SO question you mentioned, since you are not able to do so, but I would not expect that question to get deleted or closed as a result of that.

Thanks a lot for taking the time to explain this in detail and also helping with the SO question :) Much appreciated!
I understand the policy, though as an admin for a contest website, it is very disappointing that the answers aren't soft-deleted and restored after the contest ends. But I totally understand that it is unreasonable to put more burden on the moderators, and I also get the 'philosophical' reasoning behind it.

Thanks again!
