@vzn Yes, I am following them a bit, and, yes, of course, I heard about Alpha Zero. I actually gave a simple presentation (based on a recent search paper) on how to parallelize the MCTS used in AlphaGo at the beginning of the semester.

I am studying typical concepts in ML, such as RL, supervised learning (e.g. NNs), SVMs, evolutionary algorithms, then numerical algorithms, HPC, etc

@TheNotMe is your thesis going to be on SAT?

@vzn it will be based on SAT and my "twist" to regular SAT methods to get it working for the specific optimization problem I am tackling

If the paper gets accepted, I can say that I am done with my thesis for the masters.

Is this your first time you try to publish a research paper?

I really don't know what are the chances. Even my advisor tells me that he has no idea where we stand. It is a method that works pretty good, and pushes SAT to the beyond. But whether as a paper it will get accepted -- none of us have an idea. So I am eagerly waiting for the notification
