I want a good reason why people keep track of every single statement in questions even if it's apparently irrelevant to the question itself?

I'm not sure what you're concerned about yet, @EnthusiastiC. Who's worried about the statement(s)? Have they been edited out? Updated? If they're irrelevant to the question, and someone is still concerned about them, maybe there's confusion about the question's scope?
@EnthusiastiC the -v option makes me think of awk, but that doesn't define a field, that defines an awk variable. Are you trying to assign a shell array variable to an awk variable?

@JeffSchaller I asked a question yesterday, and in the context of it, I included a code and I didn't tell about some variables.

You'll probably get more visibility for your questions if you ask them on-site
oh, perfect

which I see not relevant and moreover makes the question redundant
@JeffSchaller I already asked my question on the main site.

so you no longer need the question? What's the concern?

@JeffSchaller I still need an answer. but I'm curious about the readers of my question
they blamed me why I didn't clarify about all the variables I used in my question.

well, I'm sorry, I can't read minds :) I find most people here who try to answer questions do try to understand them, so if someone's left a comment, they're probably trying to understand it in order to answer it
I have to step away for a bit, but I should be back later

ok.
anyway, I'm editing my question hopefully becomes clearer.
@JeffSchaller actually, I am trying to assign a shell array (field in the sense of awk) variable to an awk field (the first field $1)
-2
Q: How to replace a field by a shell variable being another field?

EnthusiastiCConsider the following code: renamed_column='2 6 10 8 22 20 6- 18 8- 12 16' array1='2 0.00000 -1.45191 6 0.81778 -0.63413 10 0.85020 -0.60170 8 1.40260 -0.04931 22 3.25781 1.80590 20 4.32051 2.86860 6 0.00000 -0.93906 18 0.07618 -0.86288 8 0.36922 -0.56984 12 0.71195 -0.22711 16 0.88517 -0.05389...

@EnthusiastiC while I'm not in a position to answer your Question right now, I'd point out that you don't seem to be passing in a shell array variable, but rather a newline-separated string. An array variable would look more like var=(2 4 6 8 other things here).
but it does look like two people have attempted answers in the meantime, anyway :)

When I do a simple "ls -la" on "/dev" I can see some devices that has minor number equal to 0.
What does it mean?
