@FaheemMitha I don't know how many different ways you need for doing this. You ask "if I was doing something obviously wrong", but I can't find what it is you're having issues with.

@Kusalananda If we are talking about the same thing, the link I posted shows an error message. That's the error message I was asking about. The concensus on TeX SE seems to be that it's just Lua being Lua, not a bug.
And the link is a gist. I haven't posted it anywhere on SE yet, though it seems that SO is probably where it belongs. Since client-side issues with DBs are deemed to be off-topic on DBA SE.

@FaheemMitha What link? The link I see here goes to a SE chat page. That page does not show you linking anywhere else.

@Kusalananda The link is the word "this" in the onebox
(and also in the transcript message, I guess)

@MichaelHomer Aha, I didn't notice. Why not post a link to the gist directly?
I think that may be a better fit for StackOverflow.

@Kusalananda The word "this" in the comment links to gist.github.com/fmitha/a6faba5e32a958eb8e478d1354271038
As Michael already mentioned, I see.
I'm not claiming it's on topic here. But I just wondered if I was doing something dumb.

@FaheemMitha Someone who knows Lua will at least be able to point you in the right direction. There are presumably more such peaplo over at SO than here.

12:10 PM
@Kusalananda SO is certainly more on topic. If it had a Lua chat room I'd probably ask there.
Looks like it's to do with how Lua iterators work.
