Hi Unix/Linux friends, is there someone who is verse in curl and REST API? I have a favor to ask. Thanks
I have a .docx file in Google drive, but it is not recognizable by Google Doc. Someone said that I could change its MIME type by Google drive REST API. I have no idea how to do that
Would appreciate some command examples

@Ben I doubt anyone here would know. This isn't a Unix/Linux thing but a Google API thing. I don't really see a link to *nix at all. You could try posting a question on Web Applications if it is on topic and ask about your basic issue with google docs.

@jesse_b Well yes. Why would you need more than three? One should be more than enough!
<2 rsync.

I'm using a lot this morning, my macbook is hosed so I need to back all my files up and reinstall

4:52 PM
ouch...

@jesse_b If you back up a hosed system, wouldn't you get a hosed backup?

5:35 PM
@Kusalananda I'm just backing up my files
scripts and such
ssh keys

Ah, I thought you were going to reinstall from a Time Machine backup.
No worries then.

I think my problem is just the spy software my company forces on it though
The program has been asking me to connect through their vpn lately and ever since that started my dns is non existent every few minutes

Ben
Thank you, Jesse_b
How may I get the access_token in
curl --request POST \
'https://www.googleapis.com/drive/v3/files/fileId1/copy \
--header 'Authorization: Bearer [YOUR_ACCESS_TOKEN]' \
--header 'Accept: application/json' \
--header 'Content-Type: application/json' \
--data '{"mimeType":"application/json","name":"samplename.json"}' \
--compressed
