I put a bounty on my GNU screen question 'cuz nobody answered it. And still nobody answered it. I don't think I've ever gotten a question answered simply by posting a bounty; has anyone else?
@Wildcard I'm 1 for 5, with: unix.stackexchange.com/posts/515220/timeline being the one success. I don't know if an Answer was already on the way or not (it came ~4 days after the Q was posted, and ~4 hours after I placed a bounty)
I for one think stack exchange is the best exchange. Everyone knows it, just ask anyone. This is the biggest exchange, it's huge. All other exchanges are weak in comparison.
@Tim seems like a fine place to me, I have no problems with it. I come here with interesting and relevant technical questions that I take the time to write up and explain clearly, and I usually get answers that are also clear and well-written. Sometimes I don't get answers. Sometimes I come to answer others' questions. All of it is free. Seems pretty good.
