I just learned that small intestine only has liquid, and bowel turns liquid into solid
Recently I often drink quite some water in the morning, and what passes out go through different stages and ends in thin, and I thought it came out of small intestine directly. I am happy to find out that I was wrong
I also wonder if peanut butter with water on empty stomach is healthy. I found that in that case peanut butter might help bowel movement, but it is still not a confirmed fact.
I remember seeing some discussion about prostate here a while ago. I am also interested in health knowledge.

good morning. It is chilly. Looks like extremely hot days are over?
How would you optimize pdf files so that they are not very slowly loaded?
especially pdf files created by scanning and found on the internet?

Q: perl: Redirection of stderr of tmux command

Ole TangeWhy do ok($tmuxcmd) and suspect($tmuxcmd) not give the same output (i.e nothing)? It works as expected with /bin/echo but not with tmux. #!/usr/bin/perl sub ok { return qx{ ( @_ && true ) 2> /dev/null }; } sub suspect { local *STDERR; open(STDERR, ">", "/dev/null"); return qx{ @_ &

Is this pushing the line of on topic a bit too much? I mean, yes, we do answer perl questions but this seems like it's too much about the internals of how the language works and has no bearing on the underlying platform.
Thoughts?
never mind. Ole convinced me:
I was initially thinking the same, but as you can see the problem only arises when running tmux. I have been unable to test it on non-UNIX systems, but if someone can reproduce the error on that, then I would find it fair to move it. If it cannot be reproduced on a non-UNIX system, then I believe this is the better place. — Ole Tange 2 mins ago

Acording to `man perldsc` is a hash of hashes:
$hash{string}{'another string'} # hash of hashes
@FaheemMitha Yes, it is declared as a hash ....(array).
From Perlintro: my %fruit_color = ("apple", "red", "banana", "yellow");
A hash represents a set of key/value pairs:

Q: perl custom sort by string similarity clustering

719016In Perl, I would like to sort a collection of different length strings in a way that automatically lumps together similar strings. Intuitively, I imagine I need some distance measure for each pair and then a clustering routine that groups by the distance. My number of strings is always small an...
