The interviewer clearly doesn't know anything about his subject, otherwise it's not a bad interview. From some years ago. In the clip, Adams says he is 92. He died in 2016 at the age of 96.
I'm getting that same protected error with chromium and Amazon Prime. Linking to the widevine.so in chrome had fixed it. But chromium was upgraded a few days ago, and it seems to have broken it.
@derobert Unfortunately, it appears (as I suspected might be the case) that the problme is a hardware one. The mouse middle-click button (which is also the wheel) is no longer working. But I plugged in another mouse, and middle click for that works.
This is a bummer, because this an almost new mouse.
https://www.reddit.com/r/IntellectualDarkWeb/comments/9rejg4/the_problem_with_jordan_peterson_the_david_pakman/ @Wildcard I just happened to read about these things recently. I think they make sense, but I won't go any further here
@Kusalananda Yes but they didn't do it with databases
It was a claim the creator of ultima online made but I can't find much else to back it up, it does seem plausible though because I don't think databases were even really a thing at the time and certainly weren't being sharded yet
maybe not, I forget which mail client it is but I have seen recently where if you say "attached" or "attachment" in the body and go to press send without an attachment it will give you a little warning saying you may have forgot an attachment
There's also something like a 5 second "think time" delay during with you can cancel the send you just clicked, but I can't remember where I saw that (possibly gmail).
I maintain a repository of "toolbox" scripts for work that I previously had them all in the root directory of the repository. Today I made a bin directory and put them all in there and I know nobody is going to be able to figure it out :(
At one point I tried making a script that would install the scripts but it seemed obnoxious, and I really hate the idea of modifying someone's profile. I wouldn't want anyone doing that to me
