How do I check, which version of openSSL ibrary is installed? on linux machine..

configure: error: Cannot find OpenSSL libraries with version >= 0.9.8

Package 1:openssl-1.0.2k-8.el7.x86_64 already installed and latest version

@overexchange If you want answers, it's a good idea to give more specific information. For example, what do you mean by "custom location"?

custom location mean --prefix=....

@overexchange You could start by listing the files in that package.

@overexchange You can build rpms for any location inside the standard system directories, as far as I know.

But I'm not really a RH user.

Also, building customs RPMs isn't that hard. You need to write a spec file, or adapt one. Are you under some kind of deadline? So sound a little panicked.
