@ʞɹɐzǝɹ I don't know if I will run, but it's rather obvious the first one is id-req problem. Personally, as the 2nd top problem, I feel that we haven't attracted too many good contributors (we rarely get good people joining us, only people posting LQ stuffs). And the 3rd top problem in my opinion is that we don't edit and vote nearly enough.

#1.5 Low quality users (mostly of these are covered by 1)

Generally I think our site is in good shape besides this, but I would like to also look at:

#2 Keeping valuable new users - I would like to see how our retention rate is, we're picking up a couple of interested people in chat, but it's not a full representation of the site

#3 Rewarding great answers & inspiring others to follow their example. I like the spotlit posts more than the monthly tags thing we did as all the questions are very good quality and getting 5 voters to look at these would be…

it's not an issue right now, but sometimes meta-chats can be very pointed at other users

especially on dividing things like id-requests

I'd want to pull some users aside if I saw any of that happening again

1: ID requests.
This is obviously a prominent issue right now, and though I think the best strategy to tackle this is to actually focus on other things, this is clearly something a lot of community members are concerned about.

2: Staying current.
We have a lot of questions about series pre-2014 (AoT, FMA, and so on), and even our biggest draw, Naruto, is slowing down dramatically. Without focus on new series, we lose out on a huge opportunity, and most askers will go places like reddit. Improving our community to keep users interested in current manga and anime should be a focus.

And there's mine.

re: id-requests - I think we just really need to be stricter enforcers, and I think that's hopefully starting to happen

@nhahtdh I disagree. If we can definitively say "We know X and Y, but Z isn't revealed," then the OP knows that they are not missing something, and we have a foot in the door for when the answer is revealed.

Those asked when a series is in progress usually needs update, but the author is not aware of them

I'm quite sure I have 5-6 of such posts

I think the interesting questions naturally will be revived as people want answers for them

less interesting ones like 'why was x on hiatus' will stay quiet

Our site has the nature that it's about an on-going medium, so there should be more focus on updating/edit/maintaining the answers, compared to SO

I don't think there's a net positive to come out of disallowing 'we don't know yet' answers

I also hope we can delete those answers, after an actual answer comes in and verified correct, but it has to become a community policy, since normal users won't be able to delete them by themselves

Honestly, if the answer was no longer valid, I would have no problem with someone other than the answerer editing it to say, "This answer is no longer valid. Please see [linked answer] for updated information."
