@ThaddeusB I've not upvoted because of some dogmatic assertions about Enoch:

Those statements could be removed entirely and not affect the answer at all. The question clearly asks what happened in the Bible, which the vast majority of Christians do not include Enoch in.
It just got a little to preachy and pushy for my tastes.
But I also didn't downvote, which this is something that I usually do downvote for.
 
@fredsbend A fair point. Your answer is far better, but I found it noteworthy that someone managed to add anything to the "discussion" given your thorough answer. :)
While I'm here, Scott has reworked his "devil" vs. "Satan" answer linked above. I find his new conclusion to be more plausible than his original one.
