@Kusalananda Just FYI, Instagram wants me to log in. I don't think I have an Instagram account.

10:06 AM
@FaheemMitha a-ha!
It did that for us too for months a while back. Then it just stopped. It has to be (geo)IP-based.

10:42 AM
@FaheemMitha Well it wasn't terribly important. You could also see it here.

@Kusalananda Ooh. A video. Sylvan.
Is that what one would call a marsh?

10:57 AM
@FaheemMitha The nearby lake was lowered some 150 years ago to create more farmland (we had a famine). The farmland uncovered was not as fertile as they would have hoped. It was probably used as farmland for a good while though, but in the 1990s it was converted into a nature reserve and bird sanctuary (and the water level somewhat artificially increased a bit again but not to old levels). It is usually quite wet, but it has also been raining a lot lately.
I'm expecting most of that water to go away during the summer.

11:12 AM
@Kusalananda So not exactly a marsh? I'm not sure what a marsh is.
But it's possible to walk around in it?

@FaheemMitha It's certainly "marshy", but it's waterlogged farmland-turned-nature-reserve. Yes, there is a walk/cycle way around it (and through it). The path I take is about 7 km.

@Kusalananda Well, as long as there is no quicksand.

:-) Defnitly no quicksand!

11:39 AM
Peat bogs are more likely in this environment.
they're a lot more likely to kill you than quicksand :P

quicksand is a myth

just like birds

maybe all the birds died in quicksand

@AndrasDeak It's not a peat bog either, this place. Just old disused farmland temporarily under water due to flooding.

1 hour later…
6:19 PM
Yeah, I got that.

7:05 PM
This is somewhat lacking context, but would anyone like to guess what's wrong with the Tcl fragment:
exec hg resolve -m foo
This isn't behaving as expected, and I'm not sure why. I'm also not sure where to go for Tcl help. I've never used it.
There seems to be a #tcl IRC channel on Freenode, so trying that.

What is the exec supposed to do? Do you need it?
Ah, Tcl, not tcsh. Sorry.

8:09 PM
@FaheemMitha there's tcl.tk/man/tcl/TclCmd/exec.htm in case it helps.

2 hours later…

SE replacing their fonts with platform-specific ones. Am I the only one being bugged by the fact that "Ubuntu" is the token linux category?
I can't tell if non-ubuntu linuxen are the "other" category or not

10:00 PM
Surely the correct way to do that is through font-family: system-ui anyway
You still need a list for browsers that don't support that but it's not very important
