Nor do I plan to ever do so. I haven't studied the issue, but I don't think it's good for the health.

@Tim @Tim It was presumptuous of me to butt into your conversation at the time, but I was not trying to sound like an expert. In fact I'm far from it, I'm only currently introducing myself to graph theory and how it is applied. My only point to you was that it seemed the information you were seeking was already linked and continuing to ask seemed like an attempt to annoy your conversation partner, but again that was presumptuous so I withdraw my comment.

so if i have copied the .pub file to the remote computer, but i still get a permission denied error when attempting to connect ssh, what am i doing wrong?
it says permission denied (public key)
or if possible, how do i erase the rsa authentication all together, so i can just enter a password each time and at least check to see if the vpn works ok, and then implement authentication with the rsa keys once i know thats the only remaining issue

sure but what is strange, is i have no problems from computer A connecting remotely to computer B, but connecting remotely from B to computer A gives me the public key error
i thought i set all of the file permissions but ill recheck
