Amazing. 24 hours without anyone talking here. Even this chat is in isolation!

Some of us are still here.
Weekends are generally quieter. But since people are probably going out less, I too would have expected it to be busier.
@Isaac Where you are located?
This makes horrible reading.
Warning: ignore unless you have a strong stomach.

6:04 PM
@FaheemMitha Above the equator in any map you've got ;-)
@FaheemMitha Horrible reading indeed !

@Isaac Ok, that's vague.

@FaheemMitha Ok, specific: Not in Bombai ;-P

@Isaac Even less specific.
Next you'll be telling me you don't live in Mars.

@FaheemMitha How did you find that out? ;-P

@Isaac I was inspired.

6:14 PM
@FaheemMitha Oh, c'mon, cheer up !! Don't be so serious ...

Tim
Spain

@Tim ?

Tim
or latin america
you can analyze his time zone and then above equator seems to rule out latin america
There are several latin american countries above equator.
So is India
I have heard that R's S4 OO system was inspired by CLOS
I am sorry to hear that France had a huge spike of new cases yesterday
@FaheemMitha I am so sorry

6:44 PM
@Tim Why? I'm not starving to death (I'm happy to say).

Tim
It is relatable

@Tim Yes, everyone can relate to starving to death. Unfortunately it's an everyday occurrence here in India, virus or not.
Along with lots of other horrible things.

@Tim That was because the number of deaths in nursing homes had not been added to the total before then. See reuters.com/article/us-health-coronavirus-france-toll/…

Tim
I was looking at new cases: +23,060 yesterday
I am not sure which populations in France are the most vulnerable right now. migrants?

@Tim To infection? Yes, possibly migrants, or any one in a low-income, low-social status, situation, like everywhere (EDIT: and the ignorant/stupid). The most vulnerable, as in in risk of dying, are the elderly and sick, regardless of who they are.

6:54 PM
Hi @Kusalananda. How are you doing?

Tim
I have heard that Sweden has been relatively relaxed on the virus compared to neighboring countries
and is still closely monitoring
Hope it work out. @Kusalananda

@FaheemMitha I'm doing just fine, thanks for asking. And you?

@Kusalananda Could be better. Fairly stressed. I feel like the frog in the saucepan when the oil isn't quite hot enough yet.

@Tim The government has no power to order a full-blown lock-down, as far as I understand. The current strategy here relies on people following guidelines. It might well change in the coming weeks.

Our numbers are looking kind of ominous.

7:01 PM
@FaheemMitha I'm not really that surprised, unfortunately. India is a very densely populated place...

@Kusalananda Exactly.
In other news, I hear that Trump is very concerned about his re-election.
It's nice when people have their priorities straight.
