The bruce-force method: while true; do [ -e "$edit" ] && reject --quiet "$edit"; done

3:41 PM
If that's a reference back to the post αғsнιη pointed out earlier, I hope it's just a matter of the author not being familiar with the collaborative nature of Stack Exchange. Hopefully they take terdon up on his invitation to explain their thinking, so we can all pull in the same direction.

How was your thanksgiving @JeffSchaller?

@jesse_b I’ll send you the link to the recording from his cameras ;-)

@StephenKitt Are you spying on him? :p

@jesse_b nah just pretending to have access to absolutely everything

I'm sure Jeff has tape over all his device cameras

3:53 PM
@jesse_b good, thanks! Was on-call, but didn't get called. Wife made BBQ ribs and cornbread, so it was deja vu for Father's Day :) How was yours?

@JeffSchaller Nice. It was pretty good we had a ribeye roast that was only 5-10 minutes away from perfect

@StephenKitt I thought you were in the vacuums? (hackaday.com/2020/11/27/shhh-robot-vacuum-lidar-is-listening)

@JeffSchaller oooh nice, like listening inside rooms by measuring the vibrations in windows

@StephenKitt or keys by measuring timings between keystrokes. People are so creative!

3:57 PM
@jesse_b I would say "well done!" but that wouldn't be right :) I like the ridge on the cutting board, though!
erm, it looked like a ridge initially; s/ridge/valley

I should have taken it out about 10 minutes sooner but it was still really good
You have 3 kids right Jeff?

4:31 PM
@jesse_b yep; that number seems to have stabilized substantially

someone reset the matrix

@JeffSchaller hah, don't jinx it

5:27 PM
we've ... had our "jinxed" quota, IMHO. It's possible I may outlive 2 or more of our kids. But anyway, they're all great kids with 3 very different personalities and ways of being :)

6:13 PM
@JeffSchaller oh wow. That's... hard.

6:26 PM
Definitely sorry to hear that, I hope for the best

we all have different roads, struggles, and perspectives. It's hard for me to imagine what a "normal" parent life is like

Hello. Would it be too intrusive to edit away the second command from unix.stackexchange.com/a/178657, since it only works for commands that do not contain whitespace, whereas, AFAIK, the first command is good for any input? Comments have already called up on that, so commenting does not seem to be an option. Or maybe can we add a note to it?
