@Jesse_b LOL.... I was joking around with Jeff saying it wanted to fill the star box with monkeys.

@Jesse_b Actually in leadership training a couple of decades ago they used the "monkey on your back" as an expression for people passing you the buck.

Hmmm.... has anybody wrote a udevadm handler for the power button? The powerbutton location in this lenovo is driving me crazy, each time I open it, I tend to touch it, and you can guess the result. I have to change it for 2 or 3 touches.

One of my partitions has mysteriously disappeared. I wonder if a disk died without my noticing it.

Does anyone know an easy way to check whether my headphones are plugged into the right sound device?

If I plug a mic into the correct jack, would something show up in pavucontrol's "Input Devices"?

Based on pavucontrol, I am plugged into the right sound card. But I'm not sure why I can't get my mic to work. I've screwed around with alsamixer too.

Never mind, got it working. Does anyone know why the default settings in pavucontrol and alsamixer are so that the mic does not work?

Someone should write a stiff letter to the Linux Corporation about shoddy standards.

My 1 year old, female, indoor cat escapes the house often. She returns within a day or 2 . the last time she escaped was two months ago. During that time she would lift her tail and drag herself across the floor meowing and had a lot of vaginal discharge. Yesterday, I realized her nipples were popping out a lot and were light pink, she used to be super skinny and now she has a round tummy.
