@EliahKagan: I've pushed the logs to GitLab and will file an issue referencing them after I answer my question out-of-chat so I can reference that in the issue, too (perhaps a bug report about the problems that caused me to have to ask this question in the first place will end up being filed by somebody one way or another, whether I decide to do it myself or somebody else picks up the baton and runs with it, so to speak.)
First, though, I need to eat. In the meantime, can I delete the Pastebin entry now that it's out of date I no longer need it?
I'll act on whatever answer you provide to that question of mine when I get back from dinner.

@RandomDSdevel Oh, yes. You can certainly proceed to delete it if you wish.

@EliahKagan 3, 2, 1…gone.

@EliahKagan: Here is the answer I gave to my question if you want to take a look at it really quickly.
Since I'm done here now, though, I'll see you all later. GitHub-ho to file the issue this log-gathering mission was for to start with!

Hello everyone. I'm running a ssh server (dropbear) on my android phone. But I'm puzzled, because it is showing the IP address 10.136.115.55, when it should be showing (i think) 192.168.1.3. I have another Android phone which is showing 192.168.1.4 as expected.
I'm sure I'm missing something obvious. Any idea what it is?

Never mind, I realised I had made the bad assumption that it was connected via WIFI. It was using the telecom's data/mobile internet instead. Hence a different IP address.

how can I change my gtk theme? I want to make the window border thicker and i'm not sure what contains that information

I just voted to delete 3 answers. I'm scaring myself.
In the Low Quality Posts queue. For some reason that one was showing red here.
Anthon somehow found time to do 4993 reviews. I'm trying to imagine how much time that must have taken.
And jasonwryan isn't much behind.

What's a good choice for simple video editing. Really I just want to truncate a video.

8:27 PM
@FaheemMitha OpenShot?
For very simple things you can sometimes actually use VLC. You can take clips with it.
On Ask Ubuntu there is Video editing software options? It's old, though, and it may one day be deleted because it was closed as too broad.
Anyway, truncating a video seems like a narrow enough thing that you could ask a question about it on Unix & Linux, right? (I mean, so long as you can say what OS you're on, what the container filetype and encoding of the video is, and whether you want to keep those or emit the output in a different container and/or encoding, and whether or not you have any other requirements.)

@EliahKagan Thank you for the suggestion.
@EliahKagan For something this simple, I assume it has already been answered. Though a search only bought up hits on AU. Which seems to have a lot of end-user oriented questions - more than U&L.
One problem with U&L and AU being so similar (in some ways the same site), is that persistent duplication is a constant issue.
@EliahKagan Openshot looks workable, thanks. GUIs are good for simple things like this.
I've never used Blender, but presumably it can edit video clips.
Hmm, that may not be true.
