@derobert wasn't that fixed?
oh, btw, using simple-cdd resulted being more fun that what I was expecting... had to fix 2 bugs
ha! Jessie has 3.2 and was fixed in 3.3...

Hello, How remove whitespace between line number and tag?
grep -in "[td]" test.html | sed -e "s/^[1-9]\d*:[ \t]*//"

@Sam What number? What tag?

@terdon am I being serially upvoted or something? I've been getting lots of upvotes in short bursts on questions all over the map over the last couple of days...

Looks like it, yeah.
Either that or someone is going through your answers, actually reading them and upvoting.
It will almost certainly be caught by the targeted voting detection scripts.

@terdon yeah that's what I thought, it's happened before; but don't the scripts run every night?

AFAIK, yes. So I'm surprised yesterday's spree wasn't caught.
Holy crap but you've been active lately, by the way!
Well done!

Thanks!
I got lucky with a few questions ;-)

lucky != knowledgeable

@terdon true, but it takes some measure of luck to get massively upvoted answers
well, not really luck, being there at the right time to answer a question that gets lots of attention

True, true

We have a Xen server where some domUs are crashing for apparently no reason, and why can't figure out why. We suspect a hardware issue, but we don't want to shut it down completely for a memtest... so, has anyone ever attempted to run memtest in a domU? ^^

@terdon I have got my answer: stackoverflow.com/questions/40904046/…

@Sam Oh, I see. You could also do perl -ne 'print "$.:$_" if /todo/' file.html or, for large files where sed or perl will be slow: grep -in todo file.html | sed -E 's/^([0-9]*:) */\1/'

@Braiam Probably I should ask for that to be fixed in Jessie, but I'm not sure how much I want to deal with the politics :-/

6:35 PM
@derobert is there a bug filed against mdadm in Jessie?

Not sure. Don't recall if I did so the first time I discovered the problem.

@derobert I had a quick look but didn't see any obvious candidate

Is there a badge for highest answer length to question length ratio? :)

A: Fast way to delete files with less than x lines

WildcardHere is a POSIX solution that should be pretty straightforward to understand: find . -type f -exec awk -v x=10 'NR==x{exit 1}' {} \; -exec echo rm -f {} \; As in Stephane's answer, remove the echo when happy with what will be removed. Explanations, written for those totally new to Unix/Linu...

@Wildcard reversal is the closest, I think.
