@casey, is that an original nexus 7? i've heard that lollipop can break them and don't want to upgrade mine and risk breaking the best ebook reader i've ever had.

@FaheemMitha, HP scanners and printers typically work very well with linux. i have an HP3030 that works without a problem with xsane.

@cas yep. 2013, wifi "flo" nexus 7. Lollipop worked but not great. The marshmallow update is like having a new device again.

@casey, cool. i'll try upgrading my nexus7 soon.

@cas That's true, they do. But they supposedly do not make the best standalone scanners.

@casey, did you have to install marshmallow manually? or was it an OTA update? mine's an original Nexus 7 (2012, iirc).
