Salvaged that Polaris Viewer question, but I don't really want to reopen it...

The Samsung Firmware update is asked by a user with suspicious "About me", perhaps it's a spam seed.

Nice catch.

@MatthewRead ^^ (what @AndrewT. wrote). Check that user profile in the lite of the question this user asked. Justifies at least a warning if not destruction I'd say (account only created to spam).
@AndrewT. Real nice catch!

@MatthewRead o/
all his own fault, he was too obvious #D

@Izzy Might serve as a hard proof that Android uses a FAT style filesystem using FUSE: sdcard program does the job of mounting FUSE and in config.jd is mentioned that the sdcard program is used by some devices to expose internal storage through FUSE.

4:44 PM
@Firelord Good find! Did you add that to the post?

5:05 PM
@Izzy Which post? The one about homie? :P

5:31 PM
@Firelord how to back up an app's data manually? I'd say? Maybe you can even make it an answer (including the other facts from the comments)? Some comments are yours anyway, feel free to pick from mine :)

I'm not thinking of posting there anything at all. There are at least two deleted nonsensical comments from OP and latter doesn't seem to have any sense on how to talk normally with those who are not your buddies! I can post an answer but I've a feeling that OP would bug me there with nonsense again, so I'll avoid the whole question. :-)

We've got a 3rd candidate :)
@Firelord Uh?

11:05 PM
@beeshyams as for those "grayed out apps", I've just found an issue in the F-Droid tracker. Obviously a problem with the client for quite a while, the fixing being moved from one milestone to the next …

11:37 PM
What kind of permission was android.permission.BRICK?

11:52 PM
@Firelord Very dangerous, can brick the device.
Actually, nobody remembers what it was intended for. Many made a fuzz around, until someone found out it's not even referenced from active code fragments – so it's not used at all.
But other than many other permissions, this is "not active but documented" (while we have enough permissions that are "active but not documented"). Pft.
