I don't think those questions are off-topic.

Even if the OS has bugs, could those bugs cause auto factory reset of a device? I think this has something to do with a malware (system app) but I'm not sure either as why a malware would factory reset a device.

OK my friends: Watch out for the orange and red Ǥ letters in my app lists. Apps carrying that mark will most likely have issues without GApps. (I've just released my new Google Glue Detector to the lists :)
