All channels: This question seems to be at border-line while the linked one is clearly off-topic. If I edit this one and remove off-topic content then the rest two answers would become useless to the question, so they also have to be edited to show they're meant for revision 1, or alternatively flagged for Moderator attention as being useless. // I want to edit it because the answers are primarily dependent on links, and such links dies easily.

@Firelord That's a strange one. The question itself looks on-topic ("where are they located on the phone) – while the accepted answer shows OP rather wanted sources to download from the network (off-topic). Which makes me think we'd better close the entire question (requesting off-site resources).

@Izzy Yeah, but it also said "how can I download it online on PC" which is off-topic. My first thought was to flag it, but I thought asking others is a good idea. And did you check the linked question there?

1:14 PM
@Firelord Yes. VTC'd both as off-topic, asking for external resources.

@Izzy Nice!

Luckily I'm no mod, so my vote is not binding – which means I've pushed those Qs to the review queue where they can be "rated" by other members of our community. If they feel I'm wrong, the Qs remain open – if they agree, they will be closed.
I tend to expect the latter :)

@Izzy LOL, that luckily part!

Q: Should users (non-Moderators) approve an edit made by a user posing as the author of the post?

FirelordI was bewildered when I saw this edit approved by a Moderator until I saw his comment explaining the reasoning for that action. Before that edit, the same editor suggested another edit here. Note that the editor and the author of the post shares the same name, which is what I meant in the title....

Is there a suitable tag for this question?

@Firelord I'm not sure if Miracast or Chromecast (as suggested in a comment) would be quite right... I think something like WiFi-Display (which doesn't exist atm) would be a more generic tag and would suit this question better as they're not about a specific implementation
or maybe 'cast-screen' (again it doesn't exist atm) as this might be easier for users to find than WiFi-Display? And it's also a bit more generic imo

@bmdixon Yeah, that's why I didn't add them because the question is very generic, and I didn't make any since I have nothing generic in mind. May be @Izzy could add more info here.
@bmdixon I agree for cast-screen.

@Firelord Yeah. Sometimes I wish for, and sometimes I'm lucky I am not :)
@bmdixon @Firelord screencast looks good to me.

5:38 PM
@Izzy But as per its wiki, it's inherently screen recording (usually in a file, like a screenshot) while the question wants real time projection of the screen.

6:13 PM
@Firelord In that case my first thought would be the wiki is wrong. But AFAIR it indeed was setup as pendant to screenshot. A bit confusing, as a "cast" in this context is something you send (actively, but receive passively – e.g. "radio broadcast"). Hm, seen that way it can stand for both, can't it? The device sends a screencast you wish to record?
I mean, "recording" the cast is just one of the possibilities. With the original intention, it was the wish to record what's happening on the screen. Now it simply should be displayed elsewhere. But in both cases, it's "cast" from the device, right?

@Izzy Well, I would expect an edit in the wiki so that the real time part can also be accommodated into it.

Which raises the question whether we should update the wiki accordingly :)
@Firelord Sounds good to me. If you want to make sure others agree as well, you could raise it at Meta.

@Izzy the term 'record' can have various meanings for people. Usually, it's something which you can have it as a file, like mp4. Real-time doesn't necessarily mean having a file.

I'm currently lacking the time, have to catch a train in two hours (and then will be only passively monitoring chat mostly, until Tuesday when I return)
@Firelord Recommend a split/rename (but check first with existing tags): screenrecord + screencast?

@Izzy UNTIL TUESDAY. You on holiday again!

6:18 PM
@Firelord Not really. Rather a mix of business with family business ;)

@Izzy I see, good luck in read-only mode.

My papers expire end of the year, so I've got to take care to have them renewed. Then there's some other business I've got to accomplish at the same place. And then my aunt turning 70 …
@Firelord I still might chime in from my dads computer then :)

@Izzy better focus on papers then on questions here. ;)

Sure. Note the "might" instead of "will" :)

@Izzy well, Congrats her for turning 70!
@Izzy I think screencast can be split and make into real time one. The synonym screenrecord can be used in place of its original tag screencast.
