Some non-android but stackexchange question. What do you think of my feature request: meta.stackoverflow.com/questions/209129/…

I upvoted it
but I don't understand
The post you links to points out the existing filter option. I didn't know it was there until I read that post. If you knew it was there, what exactly are you asking for?

Guess who's wearing his ASE T-shirt today!

Does anyone know if the Nexus 4 kit kat update is working now? I heard conflicting info of whether it's broke or not and my parents have 2 phones to update
@DanHulme who let this guy in here

@BenBrocka that's the first I've heard of that

@BryanDenny apparently it caused weird issues like the home button not working. My parents aren't super tech savvy and definitely not patient with phones, so I wanted to be sure it'd update right

8:00 PM
@BenBrocka I would suggest poking around here and see if anyone else has said anything about that: reddit.com/r/nexus4

8:35 PM
ooh, I've triggered an interesting launcher bug
all the widgets and icons go black while the home screen is animating
@BenBrocka I'll have you know I'm a valued contributor here, unlike on UX where I ask simple questions that get rubbish answers.
though to be fair most of my questions here get no answers

@BenBrocka There have been some issues coming up in questions here. One confirmed bug I know of is the "share" feature being broken with Kitkat. But that's a) not specific to the Nexus (but to Kitkat), and b) can be worked around using an app like AppChooser

Huh, I use app chooser anyway. Might just have them away
I have noticed Zite and Twitter giving me issues lately
...though I'm on a nexus 5, I don't think I even got an update recently

Me too (AppChooser), hence the "known work-around" :)

@Izzy how is share broken?
I've had no issues with sharing on Nexus5

@BryanDenny It sometimes "sticks" as if you'd chosen to "always use X"
So you are no longer asked which app you want to share with.
Of course, a factory-reset also solves this (until it happens next) – but for obvious reasons, AppChooser is the better solution #D
As it usually doesn't happen "next" then (just in case you're looking for an "obvious reason" :D)
Which brings me back to the famous saying: "If your family name is Case, don't name your baby boy Justin"...

hm, I haven't experienced that

8:59 PM
@BryanDenny Not everybody is affected, and reproducing proves tricky. But it's reported frequent enough to not be a "single-persons-issue".

interesting. thanks for the heads up

Wow! New feeds pop up already being "on hold". Someone here is real fast at the trigger...
@BryanDenny Anytime! And to be more precise: If you're not affected for a week or so, it's very likely you're on the "safe side".

eldarerathis is always dominating the mod queue :P

Yeah. He's the one being trigger-happy, closing questions before they're aske... ahem, popping up in the feed :)

aha, tonight I'm being the good kind of trigger-happy
answering questions before they're even cold
