Hello world! Every so often I find myself wanting to ask questions on mech.SE but fail to do so due to of lack of time, opportunity or simply because the question isn't developed enough. I was going to post this as a meta question but a chat format will probably serve the purpose better. Participation is most welcome.
Lest I forget, here's a list of questions I've been meaning to post up in an attempt to boost QPD ratings, but haven't found the opportunity to do so:
- difference between red, black and grey RTV - when and where to use what
- how do AC pressure sensors work?
- why does VW think it necessary to prevent the AC clutch from engaging if it detects sudden loss of refrigerant pressure?
- what are the dangers associated with using a spare wheel that is several years past expiry?
- how do return-less fuel delivery systems work?

So what's the plan? Do you want those questions fleshed out into something proper, or are you asking for suggestions for similar questions?

I'm sure you have seen me answer my own questions a couple of times ... don't be affraid to do the same for yourself. This covers both bases of upping the QPD and getting the benefit of teaching as well. If you have anything you are partial to, write it up on both sides of the Q/A!
