Editing now.
Current version of the funding credits. Open to revisions until I finish editing:
> The printing and distribution was made possible by a crowdfunding project, coordinated by Monica Cellio. Thank you very much to the donors who contributed, including:
> Special thanks to the project’s generous Sponsors and Partners, including:
> Finally, we are tremendously grateful to Stack Exchange, Inc. (stackexchange.com) for kindly offering a double-match challenge grant, which paid for most of the printing and helped inspire all of the other donations. Thank you also to Stack Exchange for hosting Mi Yodeya on its wonderful Q&A network.

@Scimonster 1.1" did the trick in one try. Thanks
@Scimonster Backslashes look weird next to the forward slashes in the English. Reverted.
@Scimonster Leave off the last 'i' for Italics!
@Scimonster I don't think so. It's easier to type wikipedia kol nidre than it is to type http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Kol_Nidre, and just as effective.

2:42 AM
@Scimonster It has to do with the integrated Hebrew. I don't know what to do about it.

2:53 AM
@IsaacMoses looks good to me.

@MonicaCellio Thanks. Just finished editing, so your assent is just in time. :) Printing my proof now.

@IsaacMoses I came as quickly as I could. :-) Thanks for all your work on this!

@MonicaCellio My pleasure.
It looks so nice printed ...

@IsaacMoses the sample I printed of (b) (to look at the new spacing) sure looked nice, and that was only a couple pages.

Version to be released: Days_of_Awe-Mi_Yodeya_5776_v1.1 .DOCX / .PDF
(Follows on from v1.0c. Includes a blank page behind the cover.)
Version to be sent to the presses: Days_of_Awe-Mi_Yodeya_5776_v1.1b .DOCX / .PDF
(Follows on from v1.0b. Removes the blank page behind the cover to save money.)
room topic changed to Days of Awe - Mi Yodeya: For planning/discussion/execution of a MY publication for the High Holidays. LIVE DRAFT (v1.1): chat.stackexchange.com/transcript/message/23490169#23490169 (no tags)
@Scimonster Once again, thanks very much for this round of edits.

And we are live on s.tk/miyodeya.
@MonicaCellio, could you please move from meta.judaism.stackexchange.com/questions/3669/… to there and apply to that one?
Feel free to edit the copy on the landing page. I didn't do too much writing there, because I want to get to the print order.

@IsaacMoses done. And we just ran into the tag limit; I had to remove something to make room for featured. I dropped haggadah-project for now since it's the oldest; we should remember to add it back later, after the holidays.

@MonicaCellio Thanks. It might make sense to make a generic mi-yodeya-publications tag and add it to a lot of posts, instead.
But not today

@IsaacMoses I was just thinking the same thing -- a generic tag and "not today". (I'd like to attach it to the "main" post for each of the projects, e.g. the one I just de-featured for this one. But it'll take some digging to identify the others.)

Q: Feedback for "Days of Awe - Mi Yodeya?"

Isaac MosesIf you downloaded or read "Days of Awe - Mi Yodeya?," we would love to hear what you thought of it. Are there any improvements you'd suggest? Is there anything about it you specifically hope we don't change? Do you have any interesting stories about using it to enhance your holidays? Anything...

I know I haven't been keeping up with the proofreading, but just now the table of contents struck me as out of alignment. Only a few minutes later did I realize that RH, AYT and YK are section headings. Perhaps they should be bolded? Or the indent made greater? (Or if it's too late then whatever.)

@DoubleAA I think the indent is pretty clear on the printed page.

@IsaacMoses Very well. Do you think All Vows should be in quotes? It's a Title, not a category.
(Should I just shut up bc it's too late to change anything?)

@DoubleAA I'm in the process of putting in the print order, so ...
@DoubleAA Unless it's something that would compel you to run into the newsroom yelling "Stop the presses!" I'd rather not do so.
... though I'd be happy to make improvements between now and RH to the online version.

4:30 AM
... And the order is in.
Good news: I found another 20% off coupon, so I upped the order to 1400. If you know anyone who wants copies, please send them to this form. Right now, about 400 are officially unspoken for, although I know a couple of people who may each be requesting ~100 soon.

5:14 AM
I plan to pick up the order on Friday, assuming Staples cooperates.

7 hours later…
12:42 PM
... I just got a call from the Staples store, asking for a couple of clarifications and indicating that they'll call when it's ready. So it sounds like they're cooperating quite nicely. I don't think I'll be able to pick up today, but I think I can tomorrow.
For anyone interested in tracking delta(views) on Mi Yodeya Publications, set zero at about 4930.

@IsaacMoses wow, that's fast! It's nice to have the extra time and flexibility for preparing the mailing.
Plus, it should make for a good photo. If that order were fully packed into paper boxes it'd be 7 copy-paper boxes, but the process of running copies and adding staples bulks it up a bit so it'll probably be more like 8-9. So, definitely a stack higher than @IsaacMoses's head, though I don't recommend stacking that many in a single column. :-)

I hope it's not too late, but it looks like the Hebrew at the beginning of jake's answer on page 14 got formatted incorrectly

@MonicaCellio Update: They're having it done at their hub, so it'll be ready on Thursday morning. I'll pick up on Friday, as planned.
@Daniel D'oh! Too late for paper; not too late for online.
@Daniel Thanks for the correction.
@MonicaCellio JBFW (Jewish Booklet Fulfillment Workers) Local 613 would raise objections if I tried to pull a stunt like that.

2:50 PM
@IsaacMoses fortunately, our Publications Fulfillment Manager knows better than to endanger his workers like that.

@MonicaCellio He cares a great deal about his worker's well-being.
BTW, I confirmed experimentally that you can change the target URL of a community promotion ad on the fly. (I changed the target for the DoA-MY ad from the appeal to the pubs landing page, happened to see the ad live, and confirmed that it now goes to the new target.)

@IsaacMoses oh good; I was hoping we could repoint that without making a new post.

@MonicaCellio Once I get the prints, I may also stage a new photo, and test the on-the-fly updating of the image.
(But that comes after getting the shipments out in priority.)
