Looking at this question android.stackexchange.com/q/204971/3573 and realized that it might be solvable with a WiFi password manager app. A quick scan online shows that most need root for extracting WiFi which is overkill for adding in programmatically ssid/password. Haven't found a open source app/git repo but also don't know if appropriate for an answer (write/compile code and sideload) other than complain to ODM. Thoughts?

@MorrisonChang You could compile, post it on Github and link it to answer with sideloading instructions and of course with full disclosure. I don't see any issues with this approach

meh, a lot of development questions missed...
Does anyone think there are legitimate reasons for a valid post to contain "Android Studio"?
currently this keyword should appear twice before the question is considered "blatant development", but I'm thinking about lowering this to 1

@iBug Yes. People install Android Studio as a way to get adb and the official emulator
Questions about using Android development tools have always been on-topic as long as an end-user might want to use the tools in that way (e.g. to get logs to file a bug report)

I guess I'll have to compose some more complex checks when I have time.

or train a neural network to detect them :-)

It's near the final season and a lot of university courses are collecting the final homework or having upcoming exams, so probably January
@DanHulme I have zero experience in that subject and I don't expect I can build some working stuff in a short time.

@iBug Yes, was wanting to say that. You pre-empted, but I suggest let it be for the time being till you are able to devote more time. No point in rushing it :)

@beeshyams I know. Thanks for that. I'll be able to spare more time on this in late January when school is over.

Q: Is the samsung-galaxy-s-9 tag supposed to be used for the S9+ as well?

0xC0000022LThere appears to be a samsung-galaxy-s-9 with no excerpt or tag wiki contents. So given that lack of information tied to the tag itself I thought it'd be wise to ask first if the S9 tag is meant to include the S9+ model. Maybe the mods could create a synonym named samsung-galaxy-s-9-plus or simi...
