@Izzy As I say, all the ad networks have updated their client libraries. It's just not worth the risk to them of getting all their apps removed. The big ones now offer two versions: a nice one for apps that will go on Google Play, and one with IMEI tracking, notification ads, pop-ups, &c. for apps that will be distributed through other channels.

@DanHulme Indeed, they sometimes are. But that slow? Has been a year.
@DanHulme So does that mean on Play they no longer request READ_PHONE_STATE?
And, if those popup-ads are gone, why this question here: Does purchasing something in Subway Surfer remove pop-up ads??

@Izzy Pop-up ads within the app are fine. The banned ones are those that come up when you're not using the app.
