Q: How to properly criticize a poor (scientific) work?

BartMy question: Are there ways to point out errors of somebody's scientific work without sounding harsh or as if I am discrediting that person? A lot can be found about criticizing well and proper feedback, but that usually concerns a face-to-face conversation between two people who know each other....

@CaptainBohemian maybe if you actually ate meals the suffering would not be so bad. From your posts, I know you are reluctant to eat because it is inconvenient, but it seems like you are shooting yourself in the foot.

@StrongBad I just dreamt of a gathering with my aunt's family, wherein I eat and talk with them enjoyably. This is exactly the way of eating in an enjoyable way. This is a gathering of a big number of people consisting of both my families and my aunt's. This has happened when I was a child but hasnever happened for eons.
the foucus of the dream scenario is not eating but the warm gathering atmosphere. Food is a just accompanying thing which seems to alway exist in whatever gathering.
I enjoy socialization far more than the food itself.
but if there is no food to share, I guess nobody would come there to gather.
but when there is nobody to gather, who would enjoy food itself? so food is better to be eaten with congenial people to have fun. Unfortunately we need food so often no matter whether we can be together with congenial people. Now there are no congenial people available at the home city at all. I think that's the reason of hunger trouble.

humans are social animals--even back to the hunting-and-gathering era. I don't understand how a hermit who lives alone in a mountain resolves hunger trouble.

food is not easy. you need to hunt to get it.
if you only need to hunt once per week, it may not trouble you that much.
when you need to interrupt your business to hunt more than once a day, it's a trouble.
