How often we should ask questions to PhD advisor?

like I ask questions showing my work on a specific part but not getting the results, so showing my approach and asking for any suggestions?

I understand a scholar's research is his own

would many questions annoy the advisor?

also would the above questions fit to this site :'(

what a trivial question! It of course depends on your advisor's preference. If your advisor shows favor to your questions, you ask more; if (s)he shows annoyance, ask less.

the really trouble is having no advisor to ask.
