5:35 PM
@DhanishthaGhosh Congratulations on 2k rep!

5:54 PM
@EddieKal Thank you so much. No more getting edit points for free. πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚
Would love to assist you in editing and checking the suggested edits.

@DhanishthaGhosh That's great! Thanks!
If you are interested, do look into tags
Tagging is one area I have not been doing a good job in
Mostly because ELL tags are something of a mess, lacking consistency

@EddieKal No problem. Though I won't be very active for next nine days. Because my exams are starting. What an irony! I am still here instead of studying. But will drop in once everyday to maintain my streak. That's take great effort in buildingπŸ˜‚.
@EddieKal Okay. I will take a look at them.

@DhanishthaGhosh Good luck with your exams! Don't worry about being active every day. Everybody here is volunteering their time, so please only contribute when you have the time
Your schoolwork is obviously more important

@EddieKal It definitely is, but I don't want to blast my brain unnecessarily. I have done enough practice. I know I will do good. Hence sometimes chill out a little.
Also I will super-duper free after my exams. Would stick here 24*7.
Oh I has a doubt.
In the suggested edits queue, I can approve and then add something if necessary right? It isn't like only approve or reject, is it? Like I have seen you approving my edits and then retagging if necessary. I will be able to do that, won't I?

@DhanishthaGhosh Lol. That wouldn't be necessary, but won't hurt.
@DhanishthaGhosh Yeah, so the options for reviewing suggested edits are: approve, reject, improve, reject and edit

6:08 PM
@EddieKal Yeah, not literally though. It will be almost like 10*7 or something similar.

if you choose to "improve", you can improve upon the suggested edit, making changes on top of the suggestion
It takes two votes to approve an edit
So after you approve an edit, another reviewer has to approve it also for it to pass
But if you improve on an edit, the system will automatically approve it, and you don't need a second approval

@EddieKal Ohh. That's kind of tedious. And I thought you alone did the work. So who approves in case you approve it, if you don't mind me asking? Or do moderator not require two approvals?
@EddieKal Aha. I see.

@DhanishthaGhosh Well, mod review decisions are binding, which means we can unilaterally approve/reject edits
We can also reverse others' reviews
I think you should be able to see this now

@EddieKal Yes, but that is already in effect. What should I do then? Click approve again?
That is showing in my history column.

Hmm, seems like you are not seeing the entire review history?
Can you see the record of other people's reviews?
Looks like this. Are you getting the same page?

6:21 PM
@EddieKal Nope. Am I supposed to see that?

Don't worry about it then. That just means you need more rep before you can see the review record
It's not important

This is what I am seeing.
@EddieKal Okay. No problem.

I was just trying to tell you that you can probably check the review history and better understand how reviews work
Basically, suggest edit reviews work like I just described
So when you approve an edit but it still shows pending, don't worry about it
It just needs another approval
You can get around it by choosing to improve. That way you don't have to wait

@EddieKal Are these the reviews of edits you suggested? Or something that others suggested on your post? Or is it the edits that you have approved on suggested ones?
@EddieKal It's no problem waiting for some of them, because in some of the posts, I am confused about which tags to write and which ones to remove.

@DhanishthaGhosh I am long past needing to suggest edits (2k rep). This is the history of all reviews, including my reviews (see on the right side approve/rejected/edit) and reviews other people did
On that page I can review other people's reviews

6:31 PM
Oh, now I get it. I had actually approved the suggested edit on my question. I think that's the reason it is showing 'approve' beside it.
I believe the author of the question has a say. Like I did.

Yup

πŸ‘

So when you can't see the entire review history, what you see is the reviews you have done, most likely of other people's edits on your own posts

I get it
Thank you so much for all the help and elucidation.

My pleasure. If you have questions pop in any time.

6:36 PM
Will do!

7:04 PM
This question is being downvoted..... I don't know why, but it's a good question. I found it interesting and answered it. It has collected one close-vote and 2 downvotes.... :/ People are really............

@Void Hmm, I don't know either. Maybe they think it is an obvious question?

How?
I don't think it was obvious

I agree with you. That's why I gave the Q & both A my support

There's also 'twopenny' (look it up!), it's pronounced TAP.Ni
Thanks :) ....

In general I am not familiar enough with (dated) BrE words
