@NicholasV. got a freak snowstorm on saturday....was driving slow to drop my friend off, and i slid with no control...was headed right for a telephone pole, but my one tire careened off the curb and the car was not touched.

Strategy? Covered in a few basic questions for the most part. Fantasy sports? Mostly speculative. Betting? Speculative, except for questions about technique
@edmastermind29 The first one would probably be closed as primarily opinion based. Although if we just deleted answers that didn't show the basis for their reasoning, it might turn out well.

At the end of the day, how could we, the sports SE community, improve the site? @MartinSleziak addresses the lack of optimism in 1.2 questions a day, but what can be done about it? I surmise that our collective answer is, "we don't know." This is not a new problem, yet no viable solutions have been proven (ie, speculative questions).

Our traffic is steadily improving, but the number of posts hasn't been keeping pace
So we're a good resource but not much of a community
In fact, three of our top four days in terms of visits have come in October or November
And we're due for both an Olympic spike and an NFL playoffs spike soon

@mmyers remember the sport participation part of things. for example, coaching would have a serious niche that fits the SE model on this site if we have the questions/expertise.

I need 39 points combined from RG3 and Frank Gore tonight to keep me in the playoff hunt in my non-SE league. I'm playing the worst team in the league but they picked a bad week to have a great game.
I expect Griffin and Gore to combine for 35 points in the first half and then go scoreless in the second.
