I wonder whether a question asking for examples of women who went on to have successful career in their respective sport after having a child would be on-topic on Sports.
I know some such cases in cycling: Lizzie Deignan, Marta Bastianelli, Laura Kenny (track cyclist).
In tennis, both Serena Williams and Victoria Azarenka still play at high level (top 50/top 20 ranking).
Kim Clijsters is attempting a comeback now - so far without great success.

This would appear to be a list question, which are notoriously ill-suited for Stack Exchange. I don't see how it has any especially good focus - just "here's a broad condition, find me things that match it".

Yes, list questions are generally frowned upon on SE.
Of course, Sports has a culture on its own - I think I saw a quite a few questions on the main site which could be described as list questions.
But perhaps this can be described as the Sports still being in the phase of discovery what questions users of the site want - there will definitely be many post which will eventually be deemed not suitable, but trying to post them is probably part of the process of fleshing out preference of the site's community.

In fact, since I saw enough list questions around, at some point I tried to created a tag called : chat.stackexchange.com/transcript/2433/2013/7/16
I did so fully aware that it is a meta tag. OTOH such tag exists on several other sites: stackexchange.com/search?q=is%3Aq+%5Bbig-list%5D stackexchange.com/filters/424509/big-list
I'm not mentioning this to start a discussion about creating the tag - I am perfectly fine with the decisions that this tag should not exist on Sports.
It's just as a comment on my general point - if there weren't enough questions of this type on the site, I wouldn't have tried to create the tag.
